AILU is run by and for the laser community. Its membership is made up of laser users in industry and academia as well as manufacturers and suppliers of lasers and laser-related equipment and services. Corporate members include many leading players in the laser materials processing community.
What Is AILU?
- AILU is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1995.
- Based in the UK, AILU has an international membership and is available to all who have an interest in the applications of laser materials processing in industry and academia.
- AILU is about networking and connects laser professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds, from Industry & Manufacturing to Research & Development
- AILU is made up of laser end-users in manufacturing and research, laser job shops, manufacturers of lasers and laser systems, and suppliers of laser-related products and services.
- Job Shop owners benefit from networking, sharing advice and best practice in the Job Shop Special Interest Group.
- AILU is dedicated to furthering the opportunities for those at the beginning of their career in laser technology and runs an active Early Careers Group.
